What is a Forest Garden?

A forest garden is an orchard designed to mimic the form and function of a forest ecosystem. In 2014 we planted a CSA style 6 acre forest garden that was comprised of over 50 different species & varieties of perennial fruits, berries, and nuts that are arranged spatially to mimic the natural form and function of a forest. 5 years later, this ecosystem is sequestering carbon, capturing snow, providing habitat, slowing winds, purifying water all while producing nutrient-dense food!
Here is our vision come to life!
