10 Reasons You'll Love Our
Free Range eggs
|
Does Free Range Make a Difference?
From April-October our flock is rotated through one of our forest gardens where their diet consists of insects, worms, seeds, berries and pasture. They also receive organically grown grain and a certified organic soy, corn and canola free mineral/supplement.
During the winter out chickens are moved to an insulated building where they are given clean bedding and fresh water daily. They are also given free choice of baled forage to supplement their diet of organically grown grains. When the weather is nice the chickens love scratching around outside amongst our cows and pigs.
With so much time in the sun and such a diverse diet our customers have joked that our egg yolks "glow in the dark". You can literally see how healthy our eggs are and you can certainly taste it!
